These beautiful natural slate rounds are as versatile as they are stunning. Use them as coasters, mini appetizer plates, name placements at weddings, chalkboard surfaces for writing or drawing, or a surprisingly brilliant kids' activity. Each one is a unique, all-natural piece of stone with a natural edge - no two are exactly alike. Made in the USA by Gia Roma.

About the Mineral Oil

Slate looks completely different with and without mineral oil applied. Without oil it has a rustic, chalky appearance - beautiful in its own right. With food grade mineral oil applied, the slate darkens to a deep black with a sleek, polished look. We can apply the oil for you (select the oil add-on at checkout - please allow an extra 24 hours to ship). Or buy the oil and apply yourself - just a pea-sized drop or two, twice a year as needed.

Note: Oil is food safe and will not affect soapstone chalk writing on coasters.
